This little guy graciously posed for me at the end of the trail. To make any sense of this, read from the bottom post up. I know, I'm severely challenged in this activity.
I made it back to the sitting bench! Me, Lois Eckerman & Sister Abrath.
Here's the traveling crew waiting in the shade for me to get back from the trek.
Here I am checking out the living quarters. This cave is actually big enough for 3 people to fit into. I got some poor tourist to snap my picture.
This is one of the cave dwellings you could climb into.

Sister Abrath & me by the door. I'm in the orange shirt. Hard to miss!
Today we visited Bandelier National Monument.

Some of the younger dancers at the powwow.

Powwow

This is the backs of some of the beautiful costumes worn by the Indians at the Powwow. They were lined up for judging of their dances.

Roadrunner

Roadrunners are very fast! This is the best shot I've had of one in our parking lot at the mission office.

My first ceramics creations

We go to the Eckerman sisters' home every Wed. evening to do ceramics. I did these three angels as my first project. I'm working on a nativity set now.

Gathering of Nations PowWow 2009

We attended this powwow with the Eckerman sisters and another friend, Marie. There was a whole lot of Indians!!

Balloons over Albuquerque

We see hot air balloons in the sky almost every morning.

We were just leaving the refuge when we spotted this doe. Then we saw the stag and 2 more does. It was getting too dark for pictures but a great end to a great day.

The first cranes in.

View of El Camino Real (The Royal Road) from the observation deck of the museum. This museum was in a way out of the way place, nothing else around.
The first Roadrunner of the season. He was a little too fast for me.

Cranes.

At the bird refuge.

Here I am at the VLA (Very Large Array). What a name! Couldn't they think of something better? This is one of the dishes that capture radio waves from space. This one is in a building so people can see them up close. It weighs 230 tons.

Part of the zone conference talent show. Picture isn't very good.

At the Christmas zone conference. Elder Travis Peterson with arms around another elder. He reminds me of Mackenzie. Elder Peart on the right.

This was at the entrance of the River of Lights display.

Here are some more sculptures. Very interesting.

Some pictures

This isn't the picture I planned on posting, but it shows some interesting metal sculptures we saw.
